Perth Airport

Problem:

Mechanical plant platforms were needed for the roof of the new Perth Airport for holding the air conditioning condensers that weigh 1.5 tonne each. The platforms needed to be rigid and lightweight so they could be suspended off external trusses with none of the weight transferred to the cladding.

Solution:

Conquest Group designed, engineered, certified and installed four aluminium platforms on top of the roof. The design and certification phase took six months, engineering was around three weeks and the installation was completed in less than one week. The 200kg platforms have a lifetime warranty.
